LPG Uses
LPG is an incredibly versatile fuel (with 1000s of uses)
and can be used practically anywhere.
It’s used across a vast array of commercial industries – from caravan parks,
hospitality and agriculture through to the likes of
industrial heating and manufacturing processes, including steam generation.
It’s also used as an efficient forklift truck fuel or to run greener fleet vehicles
What is LPG?
Liquefied petroleum gas (also called LPG, LP gas, or Auto gas etc.) is a mixture of hydrocarbon gases used as a fuel in heating appliances and vehicles. It is also increasingly being used as a refrigerant and aerosol propellant in an effort to reduce damage to the ozone layer.
Different types of LPG bought and sold include mixes that are primarily propane, primarily butane and, most commonly, a mixture of both depending on the season – more propane in winters, more butane in summers. Ethanethiol, an odourant, is added so that leaks can be easily detected.
